  we were never s'pose to die????

  out of the many things from the bible i wonder about there was one i thought i would share with you all and see if you may have any interesting insights on this issue.. according to the bible man was suppose to live forever, no sickness, easy childbirth for women, just your basic paradise, right?.

  so ok, we all know that because that wretched eve screwed it up for all of us and everything we now have suffering and death.. my problem with all of this is this: what if all the people who had ever lived had never died?

  how many of us would there be on the planet?

  I think this to be fair on God's part:

  We didn't ask to come into exsistance, but came to be, by the will of God.
  Once in exsistance do we want to stay in exsistance for all eternity? Eternity that God makes posible under God's eternal plan, and Godship.

  Do we trust him enough to want to live forever under his arrangement?(Faith).
  Let people decide after they experience life with both good and bad so they can make a more inteligent choice.
  Then let them decide but simply requireing faith in him and his provisions if they want to continue.
  Eternity is scary, and a scary choice that each one should decide for himself.

  Hope I made sense?

  my path needs to be revamped.. i do plan to have a serious discussion with elders and attend the kingdom hall.

  where that will lead, time will tell.. i am not leaving mitch.

  even if i did become a jehovah's witness and celibate again he would love me just the same and i him.. you cannot become ungay.

  Joel,

  If you go back and get reinstated, will you join the theocratic school? What if you have a talk on something you don't believe?

  Will you be going out in field service? What if you get a Bible study? Will you teach your study things you don't believe, but that the WT teaches?

  If someone says something bad about the organization will you report him as a loyal JW should?

  If you slip into (JW clasified)immorality will you turn yourself in?
  If you become a JW, will you "to your own self be true"?

  Will you shun the DF'd?
  Give contributions to the WT?
  Will you reach out for more priviledges?Read the WT for the WT study?
  Protect the Organization?

  Just a few questions to think about.

  Some days I think Jesus could be God, and some days I think he's not.
  I've seen both sides of the arguements and can honestly say, "lets flip a coin".

  I don't feel that it is a matter that must be resolved with certainty, salvation does not depend on coming up with the right answer, so I no longer spend very much time trying to figure it out.

  Devaluing People

  is it possible that when we see posters get upset, and then leave, that they feel devalued by the group?.

  when we leave the witnesses, are we not devalued as apostates by those who remain witnesses, some of whom are lifelong friends?.

  could it be when we find a place like this, we discover again that we are valued, so that anything threatening that sense of belonging hurts too much as a reminder of our exit from the witnesses?.

  Devaluing people is something everybody not just jw or xjw do.

  It's something well ALL have to work on, to avoid.

  Anybody can point the finger at anyone,... what good does it do?

  It's something I'm working on to avoid, and will do so till the day I die.

  SPEAKING IN TONGUES

  i am a believer in christ have been df'd since 7/01, but left the jw's in my heart for some time before that.. i feel that the gifts of the spirit didn't end in the 1st and 2nd century but should continue until the church is no longer on earth.. i have been to serveral different christian groups and have heard many speak in tongues, but to be honest i'm not very impressed.. it seems to be, not supernatural,.. but more like the reaction you get when you jump in very cold water, and get a terrible chill that makes your jaw vibrate.. the women seems to be the most prominent ones in speaking in tongues, so i wonder if it is just an emotional response, more than any thing else?.

  and if paul said to limit the speaking in tongues to just 2 and only if there is an interpeter, why does the speaking in tongues become so prominent at these meetings?

  and how come i never hear a translator interpet what is said?.

  If you would like to see it happen just once(tongues), go to your yellow pages under Churchs, and from their pick a few different penticostal churches, I'm sure if you go to few different ones you'll see it. It is really very common.

  one of the reasons i thought armageddon was close at hand was.

  the impending obsolescence of the bible as a source of revelation.. the bible was written within the context of a large number of.

  conditions that eventually would be changed by technology, i reasoned,.

  I feel as Xena says:

  Personally I have come to the conclusion that it is psychological and induced by mass hysteria and peer pressure.

  I don't even have the slightest feeling it is from God. It seems to me to be just manipulation of people who are desperate to feel something that confirms the presents of God in their lives.
  I've been to churches where nobody was speaking in tongues, but afew were really trying too, it kind of made me feel sorry for them.
  I feel that if it was from God it wouldn't be so phony looking, like what I have seen.
